'Loss' and 'grief' are universal components of life: so long as a person lives, a person shall also lose. In honour of National Grief Awareness Day (30 August, 2023), 'Let's Talk About Grief' aims to showcase different facets of loss, from heartbreak and death to losing hope or a sense of self.

In doing this, the series seeks to assist the world's understanding of grief as a universal occurrence, as well as to help normalise discussing our struggles as a part of everyday "acceptable" discourse.

After living through the COVID-19 pandemic together, a particularly prominent and recent period of global hardship, research conducted by YouGov revealed that 22% of adults feel more comfortable talking about grief (2021). What more do we need to go through to feel comfortable speaking up today?

So, let's talk about grief.
